A wonderful week

Robert's mom Connie, nephew Matt (16), and niece Consondra(15) came from Texas for a visit from the 4th to the 13th.

I didn't get half the pictures that I should have, and I'll be sad about that forever, but the visit was wonderful. They did a lot of Disney visits, we all did a lot of swimming, eating out, bbqing, and just being together as much as possible. We all went to Knotts Berry Farm, and my mom, Aiden & Sydney joined us for an evening there as well.

Kyla, Kade, and Jack fell in love INSTANTLY with their cousins and my heart is extra full of love after seeing how great Matt and Consondra were with my kids. They were patient, kind, attentive, loving, and just great all around! Grammy gave them so much love and someone else to show off too and talk her ear off. Everyone can't wait to keep in touch through texting and lettters and pictures.... until next year when we can do it again. We are hoping too, to add in a flight with all of the kids to Texas at some point next year. We miss them terribly already!

These first 2 pics are of the kids starting at the neon dance / bike /skating show.... Kade kept dancing, but everytime I tried to get a pic he would catch me and stop.

As you can tell, the kids LOVED the cars quite a bit!

I just love this picture... Robert took us all to Islands for dinner the week before the 4th..

Kyla asked Jack if he wanted to lay with her and watch cartoons the morning of the 4th.. This was the perfect start to a perfect day!

After several tries and sore shoulders, they finally got it, even though TJ couldn't get any air cause he kept walking into the deep end!

Seriously, don't you just want to take a bite out of Gavin's chubby cheeks! We make some chubby babies in this family!

look! I have proof Robert took a few hours off of work! ( of course he didn't take the day off though ) Thank goodness for his family coming to town - he's actually going to take 2 ½ days off this week! He's worked every straight day since June 7th.

The day and evening was just great. We were surrounded by great friends, family, food and drinks! I hope next year is just as good!!!


The day after, since Robert had to work 10 hours, I took Kyla and Jack to swim at the hotel pool that Grammy, Matt, and Sondra are staying at. They had a blast being in a different pool and playing with the cool water toys next to the pool. It was a very hot day with some wind and they were worn out from the day before - so they both took about 10 minute naps under a blanket in the sun then jumped back in for some more fun!
