Great Weekend!

We had a wonderful weekend! ( way too short though! )

Jack finally took his first trip around the block on a push tricycle and is learning how to climb up the slide and slide down by himself.. he laughs and laughs on the swing with his brother and sister and has a new found love of dancing and tapping his feet really loudly. I just want him to talk! He probably feels like he couldn't get an word in edge-wise so he's just enjoying his thoughts and quiet time. We expect him to just blurt out sentances any day now.

Kyla has taken up computer games... she knows how to open & close windows, drag and drop with the mouse, navigate between the keyboard and the mouse and go between activities and games and follow instructions... all SELF taught. We showed her the mouse and how to click it... that's it. She scares us sometimes. ( I do use this new found love for disciplinary action as well - finally something that might work on her whiny argumentative additute ) She also performs for us now, she sings 'Everything' by Buck Cherry and a beautiful Transyberian Orchestra Christmas song, as well as Rudolf the Red Nosed Reindeer - love it! And I took her to see her first movie at the big movie theater - we saw Bee Movie, and she LOVED it! She sat there like such a big girl the whole time in awe!

Kade really wants to be potty trained, but he just can't seem to get it to happen when he is actually doing his pelvic thrust towards the toilet. He'll stand there for 5 minutes, but no pee is actually hitting the water. Oh well, it's got to happen sometime right?? He likes to sing with his sister and hates to be away from her. His new saying is: "good morning sunshine" and he gives the best most wonderful kisses in the world. He knows we love them though, so he's very stingy with them and sometimes only passes them out when he wants something - like his favorite thing in the whole world: GUM. He thinks he's handy manny from the Disney Channel and will "fix" anything you ask him to. Robert gave him a piece of wood and put holes in it so he could screw in real screws with a real screw driver and gave him a big tape measure. You would have thought he was building a house... he was very serious about taking the right measurements and everything was "fifty-twenty inches" LOL
