Monday night Kade was laying on Robert, nearly asleep and stretched his arms out above his head... instantly Robert jumps off of the couch and says that Kade poked him in the eye. It was red and watery and I figured it had to just be a scratch that would annoy him for a few days. After closer inspection, Kade had actually taken a little gouge out of Roberts iris. Literally - there was a like a little flap of it detatched from his eye. Gross huh.
We put a make shift eye patch on his eye and tied it with a scarf. He refused to let me take a picture for the blog, but the kids asked him why he was pretending to be a pirate! lol
He wouldn't go to the emergency room because he thought an eye doctor would be more qualified - stubborn.
I got him an appointment yesterday and turns out the eye is the fastest healing thing on your body and he should be ok in a couple of days. The doctor did say though that he was 2mm away from having vision damage. He got some antibiotic drops to put in every 2 hours and has to go back today to see what kind of damage was caused. Yuck!
Jack has had a fever the last couple of days, so I think his ear infection is back and he has an appt this morning to see and Robert was supposed to take him because I can't miss work today but now he doesn't know if he can drive - so what to do?!?!?! All other options are already occupied. You know though, if he goes he wont have an ear infection, and if he doesn't go, he'll continue to be in pain - typical.

What a freak thing that happened to Rob. I hope you got Jack to the doctor and got him some antibiotics, it is amazing how quick they work!
Ouch!! Hopefully, his will be fine. Poor Jack, it's the worst when your kids are truly sick!
